However, the increased occupancy rate hasn’t directly caused the price to rise.
According again to some online hotel booking websites, the cities of Tianjin, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, including other cities have business travelers as the major target consumer group of 5-star luxury hotels and have decided to cut off the price up to 10-30%. The reason for this is that during the National Day, there are fewer business activities.
During a standard night, the price of a room in a 5-start luxury hotel in Beijing is 2300 RMB, but the price will decrease to 1800 RMB during the National Day. In Shanghai, the price of a standard room can decrease up to 600 RMB from 900 RMB.
All kinds of hotels have an overall decrease in the levels of the prices in the Tianjin area. But, there is a 10% increase in the economic hotels price and a 20% decrease in five-star hotels prices.
The National Day coincides with the Mid-Autumn festival this year, making the holiday a total of 8 days. Many people go outside to travel. But the tourism travel this year is very hot during the golden week. People must reserve hotels in advance.
