Finding great location for your wedding can be quite a feat. So many places are way above budget and cost and arm and a leg to rent for a few hours. Below are a few unique ideas to help you find cheaper venues.
A Friends’ Home
Chances are you know someone with a beautiful home. If this is the case, you may already have a great place to have your wedding, you just have to ask. If you have a friend with an old historical home or a family member with a beautiful garden just ask to hold your wedding there. Your loved ones will be more than willing to help.
A Small Country Church
Many times couples go after big city cathedral type venues. This is a great idea if you have a big budget, but if you would like to save some money, yet have a beautiful location, find a small country church to have your wedding. These quaint churches are many times a historical structure so they are well maintained, yet much cheaper than larger, more extravagant big city churches.
A Local Museum
Did you know that many museums have certain areas that are available for weddings? These areas are marked off and rented by the hour. Since many couples do not know this is an option, the museum rates are usually quite a bit cheaper than a well known wedding venue.
The Forest
For the adventurous couple, why not exchange wedding vows in a beautiful clearing in the forest. If the land is privately owned by someone you know you can save a bundle of cash. Being surrounded by nature, fresh air, and great people sounds like the perfect wedding.
A Mountaintop
Exchange your wedding vows on top of a mountain. This may sound like a luxury you cannot afford, but with patience you can find a mountaintop that is beautiful and affordable. Surround yourself with your family, friends, and fabulous views.
