    That may have been great 3+ years ago, but now it is better to build a Mini-ITX case. I would defiantly use a SSD drive for performance, lack of noise, and power conservation.

    60 watts VS what for an average Desktop tower?

    better to just buy a netbook. Less power and you get a screen and a battery.

    the via pc didn’t have a 3d card in it unlike the mid range one. they didnt show playing any video game where it can draw the maximum power or encoding videos. on top of that via built-in graphic doesnt even support vista Areo theme which requires Pixel Shaders 2.0 minimum. therefor in my view this wasn’t a fair test.

    @Lokalaskurar

    The mini-itX atom setups can often run under 30 watts as well.

    Indeed interesting with a computer that doesn’t consume more than an ordinary llightbulb.

    You could boost its performance, since you’re only using 1GbB of RAM, you could go for a mini-ITX motherboard, and use SSD-drives, to boost performance and lower power-consumption even further :-) then you could possibly even do just as advanced things on it as on the mid-ranged PC at the side.

    I found 2 gig’s off ram to be on the low side already =/ Vista is VERY ram consuming apparently. The pc build here is very good for office work. For video-editing, 3d-modeling or more serious gaming it’s kind of a laugh. But I’d say that every office should run pc’s like these.
