Um, you do realize that nearly every single climate scientist also says that humans are causing global warming/climate change, right?
Last I checked, it’s rational to assume that experts in a given scientific field are the best source of information on that field. You trust your doctor to diagnose you when you’re sick, right?
(I’m not saying you should have “faith” that GW is happening, but it’s logical to assume it is if the scientists specializing in the field think so)

I’m not a huge “green” person, but I think the point is to lower waste as nobody can fully eliminate it. Changing a little is better than not changing at all.
