There are 8 of the major Hawaiian Islands with a minority minor ones trailing along. This is the largest chain of islands in the on Earth and each one of them is adorned in nature’s beauty. Each one has its own special show that it puts on for anyone that visits its shores.

The big Island is a tourists paradise, you can get lost in it’s unique history alone. One of the things you will have to try while visiting the island is the ancient dance of the hula, or visit the island country side and see the mixed cultures of Mexican, Hawaiian, and Portuguese. Another spot you cannot miss is Kealakekua where Captain James Cook spent the last days of his life in 1779. Another spot is the sacred spot of Puukohola Helau, which was build in 1790 for the gods.

Maui will offer you an array of culture and historical attractions that will give you unforgettable memories with the town of Lahaina giving you timeless charm along with its many historic sights. It will take you back to the days when the town was an important whaling site. Its railroad will ride you back in Lahaina’s romantic history to its plantation past. It is an island dressed in nature’s finest and has many surprises in store for your first visit there.

Kauai, as with the island of Maui, offers a lot of different beautiful attractions for visitors. It is though that one of the very first people to visit the island, happened to be all the way back in 500 A.D. From Kauai’s rich historical attractions, one of the sights you can’t miss is the Kauai Museum, which has artifacts from 1778 when Captain James Cook first landed on the island. From botanical gardens to luau’s, Kauai has a lot to offer its guests when visiting the island.

Visiting the island of Oahu you will find many history sights through it’s temples, cultural centers, and museums. For someone who loves history it will be a great place to go. Be sure to take the trolley through Waikki, and you will notice many different historical hotels which you probably have heard of before. All of Hawaii is full of history, having been there you will walk away with a new perspective on Hawaiians. From how they lived in the past, to how the islands have been settled.
