When we talk of casino, the very first thing that comes to our minds will be playing cards, cash, casinos and Las Vegas. Those tend to be all true. The truth is you certainly will find many in Las Vegas, too. Don’t forget the cancan dancers in clubs as well as men and women sitting in front of slot machines, having a bag full of coins. I have never been to Las Vegas yet but I have seen a lot of movies shot in Las Vegas.
One of these movies was Back To The Future. Michael J. Fox went to the past and back to the present time, only to find that the present time was changed because of single situation in the past changed and didn’t happen. So when he got back to the present, he was shocked to find that everything suddenly turned into Las Vegas. Gambling and drinking everywhere.
Needless to say, that is what I preferred to do when I was kid. Nearly all kids I know do not want to go to school and would prefer to just play all day. I thought life was as simple as a game. Well, I still want to believe that life is a game and we are generally all gambling real hard to win it.
So now that I am a grown-up, I’ve come to know a lot of people who loves to gamble. From playing a simple card game to the complex poker game that I am still having a hard time to understand until this very day. My older sister has been trying to teach me how to play poker but my mind won’t just take any of the instructions that she’s giving me so for now, I choose to just watch her play poker online. It’s funny because people have become so engrossed with the game to the extent that they even came up with an interactive online poker game application for facebook.
There are times when I hear my sister screaming out in front of her computer and it turns out that she’s playing poker and she screams either because of excitement or out of anger. I ask her what makes her scream so loud when it’s just another computer game. I get another angry scream for her saying that it’s not just another computer game because it’s as good as the real thing. It’s a good thing that the money she lost isn’t the real thing. I asked her how much she lost and she said that she lost almost $500,000. I thought maybe if she went to a real poker game and really lost that kind of amount, she’d probably end up selling our house and stuff to get back to a poker game.
Each time I log in to my facebook account, a number of my online friends send me a personal chat message asking if I want to play a poker game with them. I just tell them that I can’t because I don’t know how to play poker. All I get in return is “LOL” which is an internet slang and an abbreviation for Laughing Out Loud or Laugh Out Loud. Maybe it is about time I educate myself on the game. Who knows? Maybe I possibly could become quite a great poker player and all I really need is a push to give me a head start. When that happens, I am going to have the last LOL.
