After growing Van Joslin Real Estate into a real estate powerhouse in 3 countries, the USA, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, one thing Hank Van Joslin understands after 30 years is timing.
With offices in The Woodlands/Houston, Texas, Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Playa del Carmen in the Mexican Rivera, Hank built his successful career and impeccable reputation based on knowing the right time for buying and selling some of the world’s finest properties.
In 1972, Hank suffered a near catastrophic motorcycle accident when he was only 16yrs old. Paralyzed from the waist down for almost two years, Van Joslin learned to visualize a successful future…in his case, visualizing himself simply walking again.

“I decided right then and there that I wouldn’t accept the dour and hopeless prognosis handed down by the physicians,” states Hank Van Joslin. “I just knew there was more for me to accomplish in life than lay around and feel sorry for myself. There was just No Other Way but Success!”
How did these experiences, the motorcycle crash and paralysis help Van Joslin develop his successful personal and business life?

“The way I see it, God didn’t create majestic sailing vessels to be anchored for a lifetime paralyzed in a slip. We were created to exercise the genius and God-given gifts with which we were blessed with. I don’t think people fully realize that or, if they do, are afraid to act on that truth” says Hank.
“It’s not a question of whether you can afford to act…the real question is whether you can afford not to” adds Hank.
“I started to become very successful once I decided to help others. I knew how to help others with their real estate needs…and also with actual physical pain…I had lots of experience with both” explains Hank.
Deepak Chopra, Dr. Denis Waitley, Jack Canfield and others are included with Hank Van Joslin in their new book “Stepping Stones to Success,” to be released later this year. Hank believes that his experiences in overcoming pain and paralysis, learning to walk again and then building a multi-national real estate business can help inspire others to overcome their challenges.
“I’m also publishing a book called ‘Who do You Want to Be (New Vision Publishing)’ from my series ‘God Has Your Plan’ where you can read in detail about my experiences of being paralyzed and my philosophy on how to achieve great success in life no matter what kind of pain you’re going through. My contribution to ‘Stepping Stones’ draws from this experience” explains Hank.
Hank’s writings teach his successful philosophy about life and his personal mission to show others their God-given gifts they can rely upon without fear to overcome any adversity.
“You can’t ‘out-give’ God….but I’m sure trying!….I’ve been blessed, receiving far more than I’ve given…so I’m striving now to do more for others” explains Hank when he describes how he sees his mission. Hank overcame tremendous odds by learning to walk again and he believes that experience changed his life in the way he views other challenges.
