You hardly ever see sash windows out here where I live in the tropics of Africa, only in some of the very old house that have been kept meticulously preserved, and I miss them. I grew up a good deal in my grandma’s Yorkshire home, where everyone had these windows and they feature big in London architecture too. What was once nearly a ruin has been restored to it former greatness and is now an incredibly beautiful building.
