IKIAM – Trailer; Oil Exploitation throughout Ecuador’s Amazon NEW

Ikiam is an incredibly unique feature film documentary that rediscovers the issues surrounding oil through two separate stories within Ecuadors Amazon; one protected the other destroyed. It examines the effects of oil damage (and its possible preventions) upon environments, health, economy, and rapidly changing cultures, and also uncovers dark hidden truths about the dangers of taking a stance against such a frighteningly dominant power. go to www.nomadichands.com and click on news blog for more info.

(i dont even like miley and the jonas brothers i dont care about them)

and then ppl act like it’s a BIG DEAL to be 33 years old and be a virgin…why do the make it seem like its a BAD thing.

im 15 btw

answer please…..
TO Mr. Happy Feeling Is Nocturnal: You confuse me?

I don’t get the big deal either. It’s just peer pressure. Just like drinking, smoking, and drugs. Everybody else has a girlfriend or boyfriend and all of your friends have had sex so you feel like you have to have sex to be accepted. Just do it when you think you’re with the right person and when you feel ready.

What are some of the natural stones I could find on the beach of San Juan, Puerto Rico?

I am taking a family trip to Puerto Rico in January. From there, I will hop on a cruise ship and travel the Caribbean for seven days. I just wanted to know what kind of rocks I should be looking for when I walk the beaches. Also, what are the guidelines to bringing back unpolished beach rocks on the airline?

There are no rules to prevent you from bringing rocks in your checked baggage. You cannot bring soil or dirt as the Dept. of Agriculture will take it away from you if they discover it. Clean sand is okay. I don’t recommend trying to bring rocks or sand in your carry-on baggage. The scanners cannot see through these materials and then they will search your luggage and probably you as well. I carry rock samples in my checked baggage regularly.

On the north shore of Puerto Rico you will find quartz sand beaches, and mostly rocks will be quartz, limestone, marl, and claystone. You may find coral fragments. You may also find some ooids (small round grains of calcium carbonate) in the sand. On other parts of the island you may find igneous rocks, such as volcanic rocks like tuff, ash, or basalt, and you may find metamorphic rocks like amphibolite, gneiss, and serpintinite on the southwest part of the island.

Here is a geologic map:

Be careful what you eat at those beachside food stands.
