Can you recommend a cheap honeymoon location?

I am looking at having a honeymoon the first week of May 2011. Can you recommend a location in the Caribbean where we could go for 4-6 nights for $1500 or under (including airfare)? We will be traveling from Detroit. Thanks!

Hey bro, you talking to king of cheap, yeah? Time of year problem, cause it early summer, not prime time, but close, ok? Hawaii, like Waikiki always have rooms over by Ali Wai canal for 50 bucks nite, ok? Nice rooms, 2, 3 blocks to beach, don’t worry, nice place, older but good place, ok? Has A/C, elevator, view of mountain, nice places-find by going online to “cheap rooms waikiki”. So 5 nites, cost you $250, ok? Then you need find cheap airfare, ok? Now Detroit not near Hawaii, and that gonna be problem, but low cost carriers gonna get you from Motor City to LAX or SFO pretty cheap, like 250 each round trip, ok? But you need to buy early ok? So, not hard to find round trip from those to HNL(Honolulu) for 350 or less each, ok? So we very close to $1500 cost, minus food, shopping etc, ok? But hey, you gotta eat whereva you are, ok, not fair to count that. Also, check travel agents, sometimes they have good package deal, ok? Pleasant Hawaii used to have cheap 5 day mid week deals, for cheaper than that, still have some good deals, yeah? Ok Ok, not the Caribean, so sue me, Hawaii much mobetta, and you gonna love it. So there you go, see you in Waikiki in May 2011, yeah?
Peace and Aloha to you both from hawaii.

Things You Should Know Before Buying Your First House

Buying your first house can be stressful, but is also very exciting. There are many things that go into a house purchase in real estate, it is not just about getting the house and moving in. First you need to find the right homes on sale. Once you have made the decision to purchase a house, it is time to move forward with bank loans and finding the perfect home.

So, before you even begin to look at homes, you need to have an idea how much you can afford. This is not just how much the bank will approve you for, but how much those monthly payments will be. The last thing you need, in your new home, is to be financially uncomfortable. It is pointless, and quite frankly a waste of time to look at houses without knowing what price range is good for you.

The next step is determining the part of town you want to live in. Knowing your budget and what you can afford helps a bit in this area. The rest is up to you and personal preference. Know what you are looking for, do you like convenience, good schools, country, etc. Knowing all of this ahead of time will alleviate quite a bit of stress.

Now that budget and area are determined, you can start your hunt for your new home. There are tons of new homes for sale, just about everywhere, but here are also plenty of used homes to choose from too. Keep in mind, there are pros and cons of both in the real estate market.

With a brand new home you are starting from scratch. This means you get to pick your lot, address, and everything that goes into the house. Most new homes focus on energy efficiency, which means your overall cost of living will be a bit lower than it would in an older home. To some this is very important; to others it is not enough to make them buy a smaller home. Overall, there are typically less speed bumps when purchasing a new home as well.

On the other hand, older homes are typically a bit bigger than the new homes of today. This means that you and your family will have more room for the money. Additionally, new homes have a lot of quirks like cracks and nail pops. These issues are usually already fixed in the older homes on the market.

Overall, new or used is a decision left to you and your family; there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Buying your first house is a very special occasion and is something to be remembered. Take your time, do not settle, get what you desire, hopefully you will be there for a long time or make a good profit when you sell.

The city offers all modern conveniences and offers its inhabitants an excellent lifestyle. If you are interested to buy property in this city, here is a short introduction to the London Ontario real estate market .

The important thing should you be interested in buying a home in London, Ontario is to find a reputable estate agent. The best way to do this is to visit the city, drive around the suburbs and find a suburb that you like a lot. Look for homes on sale. Then talk to a few of the local inhabitants and ask them to recommend an estate agent.

As soon as you have located the general area where you would want to live and made contact with a recommended estate agent, ask the agent to let you view a couple of properties on their books. Do not be in any hurry to sign a purchase contract or offer at this stage. Keep in mind that you don’t know the city well and you could quite easily make errors at this stage.

Once you find a property that your family and yourself really like, do not sign the very first day. Ask the estate agent to give you some time to consider all the advantages and disadvantages of the property. How fast can you get on the highway and get to work in the mornings? Are there sufficient shops in the area? How far is it from public transport should you need this?

The price of an average residential property in London, Ontario has gone up by more than 50% during the past 7 years. The current economic downturn has caused prices to stabilize in the current year. This is therefore an excellent time to buy ‘ it’s virtually inevitable that prices will soon start to rise again.

Once the contract has been signed and you are ready to move in, the time has arrived to find a reputable relocation service. As always word of mouth is a great way to do this. Talk to the locals and find out who recently moved into the neighborhood. Then contact them and find out if they were happy with their relocation service.

Texas Energy Users Must Know This!

Texas electricity rates are influenced by many factors. Given that hydro-electricity is very difficult to get in Texas most of the energy is petroleum based in one way or another. Also unlike many other western states, Texas has some of the highest temperatures in the summer which requires more electricity to run the air conditioners.

The main influence in Texas electricity rates is the fact that most of the electricity in the Texas power grid is generated from coal powered generators. Natural gas prices effect power prices in Texas because the generators which kick in to add to the power available to the grid are powered by natural gas. The use of the natural gas generators adds an extra variable to the Texas electricity market, because it changes in price. As is so common in the free-market system, the consumer ends up paying the difference.

Since Texas has such high temperatures, and a huge chunk of the population of the U.S., the demand on the grid can be extreme. Plus, the total area covered in the state is a huge amount of area so the hardware and delivery systems require more maintenance and materials to continue to offer the power to the public.

With rare difficulties to deal with, you can understand that Texas has many unique challenges faces utility providers that are actually trying to keep costs down for consumers. The ultimate solution for the nation, but especially the southwest U.S. is going to be a solar based power generation system, but until that gets here Texans are forced to deal with the challenges as they come.

In this modern era of the internet it is no longer difficult to be an uneducated consumer so make sure to use this information to your benefit.

Is the Dominican Republic a good vacation for college students, and is it safe?

A bunch of my girlfriends and I (who are 20) are planning our spring break in March. We want to find a cheap, all-inclusive resort in the caribbean. We’re not wild and crazy, but Is there a good nightlife in the Dominican, or do you mainly stay in your resort? Some guys may be coming, but if it is only girls- is it a safe vacation spot? Also, which city or town is the best-it seems like Punta Cana is a favorite.

I go to the DR every winter and I find it to be very safe. If low cost is a major issue. Fly into SDQ and stay at hotel domincan bay. It is much cheaper than punta cana and has a fantastic beach. There are shows, bars, and a disco right on the grounds. Security guards insure your safety. If you want more adventure there are many bars and discos in town.(Boca Chica) If your are with girls only, I would stay on the resort after dark. The Dominican Republic has a lower crime rate than most american cities.
