Sheyla Yakarepi Juruna apresenta a Carta dos Povos Indígenas contra a construção de Belo Monte no encerramento do Encontro Xingu Vivo Para Sempre Altamira/PA, 23 de maio de 2008 mais: www.reporterbrasil.com.br/ exibe.php?id=1356 www.internationalrivers.org/en/ latin-america/amazon-basin/xingu-river www.internationalrivers.org/files/ Tenot%C3%A3-M%C3%B5.pdf English translation: We, peoples of the Xingu River, do not want to hear any more about this story of dams on the Xingu River. We do not want our fish and our animals dead, and our children going hungry. We want our forest to remain standing; we want our fishes alive, our game alive; we want our fields and we want to keep our traditional remedies. We need the river to be clean in order to take a bath, and to drink water without getting sick. For these reasons, we are saying once again that we do not want any dams on the Xingu River; we prohibit you from building any kind of dam on the river. The small dams built in the lands of the Xingu Park have already begun to change the river; it has begun to dry up. We want to live in peace; we do not want more aggression. Our rights must be respected. We want to stay on our lands, happy, celebrating with our children and grandchildren. We do not want to have to always be going to cities to continually defend our rights. Our rights must be respected. That´s all we have to say to you.
6 days across the Brazilian Amazon on the famed BR-230 TransAmazonica Highway across the Jungle. A remote track cutting across the largest rainforest in the world. The road is pretty straight for the most part but got hilly, here and there. It was nice to get up close and see what this famous jungle is about, but also sad to see how much of it is being burnt down for cattle ranches. Filmed with a GoPro HD camera. August 2010. Part of my 2 year trip around Latin America and Africa. My trip website: JamminGlobal.com

Trade leads is the term used for selling and buying offers in the global trade community. This signifies any business opportunities that a company can pursue.
Where can you find trade leads?
1. Embassies
One option is to search for trade leads by contacting the embassy or consulate of the country you are interested to do business with. Their objective is to guide you and provide business information to help your company pursue new markets. The quality of help will really depend of the person responsible for economic development. In my case, I had both very good and very bad experiences. For the good meetings, I received a wealth of information and guidance that was extremely helpful in my endeavors of pursuing new markets. On the other hand, I sometimes met people who had no business knowledge and experience therefore I ended up wasting my time.
2. Chamber of Commerce
This is a local network of business people working together to further the opportunities for businesses. In a nutshell, help companies increase their sales in a particular market. They succeed by setting up a hierarchical structure with a board of directors who represent the interest of companies who are members. There are also various networking events which allow you meet other business people who can help you somehow or even become potential clients. The great thing about local chamber of commerce is that they sometimes join other regional or international chambers which allows you to interact with even more people outside of your country. This is great as it allows for very dynamic global trade.
3. B2B marketplaces
The internet has become a vital part for doing businesses thanks to B2B trade portals. These sites basically help companies sell their products and commercial services by allowing them to promote their buying and selling leads. You can also find priceless global trade resources to help you expand to new markets. The most important advantage of these marketplaces is that you can continually search for business opportunities 24 hours a day whenever you have time.
