Join Mike, G, and Efraine for a glide across this beautiful oxbow lake that’s home to endangered giant river otters, red howler monkeys, macaws, anacondas, point-tailed palm creepers and side-neck turtles. The haiku sequence comments on the series of images taken in 2008 of a new uncontacted tribe in the Amazon rainforest that were particularily hostile. It is no wonder, when we see how the rainforest, their home, their world, has been torn apart for the economic benefit of the outsiders, who can only offer poverty and dependence in our world which to them is foreign.
Incredible new video may show a “Grey Alien”-type of figure in the Amazonian rain forest area of Brazil. The footage seems to show a small being as well as a glowing object that some feel could be a UFO. 6 days across the Brazilian Amazon on the famed BR-230 TransAmazonica Highway across the Jungle. A remote track cutting across the largest rainforest in the world. The road is pretty straight for the most part but got hilly, here and there. It was nice to get up close and see what this famous jungle is about, but also sad to see how much of it is being burnt down for cattle ranches. Filmed with a GoPro HD camera. August 2010.
