It gets more important every day to make sure that you are saving money – especially if you are on a budget. Having looked around the internet I am sure that you have seen the high price subwoofer and may not be pleased with what you are seeing.
The Onkyo SKE204 Subwoofer might seem like a good buy because the price and specs of the speaker but you should also look through some of the other information on these speakers. Get a list of pros and cons. A different opinion may be had by many people so I will just put the facts out there and allow you to decide on your own.
Let’s first take a look at what we already know – the Onkyo skw204 Bass Reflex Powered Subwoofer Black is very reasonably priced for the specs that it provides. The speakers claims to put out some great deep bass and says that it will allow you to enjoy the experience of a subwoofer without paying a huge amount. There has been a a few mixed feelings on this issue and I have looked over the different opinions.
One of the user reviews spoke about how he loved the system and it’s ability to put out high quality bass without the “one note” sound that other same price range subwoofers may have. There may not be a more annoying feelings than thinking you are going to get a great buy and then find out that you ( thinking you were saving money ) had actually gotten a less than enjoyable experience than you had hoped for.
This system seems to have a little problem when it gets cranked up loud. The box and the grill begin to rattle if the volume is too high – I’m not sure what the “too high” is but from all of the other feedback I am guessing you have to crank it up considerably loud to have this problem. The way I see if is if you are interested in a normal movie and music experience such as in the theater you should be safe… however,if you are interested in having a very loud rocking party you may want to invest in another speaker without the rattle at high volumes.
Do you have a lot of wires that you need to run near this speaker? If you do that may be a problem since the speaker is pretty sensitive to other wires that run nearby or over it’s wires. Once again it’s a preference thing,if you don’t have wires to run over it you do not have to worry about this con of the Onkyo skw204 Bass Reflex Powered Subwoofer Black.
In my opinion ( and others ),all in all this is a great speaker for the price and even if you are on a budget you should be able to afford it.

Looking for a great 5.1 speaker system? The Polk Audio RM6750 is a great choice that you can consider. This speaker’s reasonable price attract s many people. What do the consumer reviews say about this speaker though? We are going to take a look to see what is out there… what are the pros and cons?

There are a few people that have not been blown away by their performance but were still satisfied with the small satellite’s quality. They may not be a replacement for larger, more powerful speakers however. They seem to lack the strength at some lower frequencies and sometimes the deep male voices aren’t as clear as they should be through these speakers. The center channel seems to be the one with the most problem since that is where the most dialog will be placed.
Just like anything else in life … bigger is usually better. If you get something that costs more or has more power then you most likely are going to get a better sound or quality than if you were to get the smaller version. If you are on a budget these speakers will do nicely.
