Holidays in the Italian Lakes and Mountains have always been popular with travellers to the great historical country of Italy. There are so many different attractions on offer in Italy with its absolutely stunning landscapes and wonderful cities steeped in history. There are also so many great national dishes, from pizzas to pastas that will wet your appetite and the people are so friendly and accommodating that your stay will leave with memories to last a lifetime.
The great Lakes on offer when you are visiting are Garda, Maggiore and Como and each is as beautiful as the last. In the summer time they shine and dazzle under the sun and, against the great Dolomite mountains, offer great views of the area.

The elegant Villa Carlotta on lake Como, and the wonderful botanical gardens in Gardone are two of the great garden attractions for you to feast your eyes upon.
If it is walking and hiking that you enjoy then look no further than the Dolomites and all of the different paths and trails that you can take along them. For those who like their independence then Italy offers so much to those who look to hire cars and take in all of the sights and sounds at their own leisure.
For others who are looking for a more relaxing break to their daily excursions, then Italy also offers great places to wind down and forget your troubles. The are great lively beach resorts and well as quieter options and the country also has some wonderful spa’s for those looking to treat themselves with extravagant indulgences.

I have been to Italy just once, but the visit has indeed left me mesmerized. Just the mentioning of the beauty of the nature there makes me have a feeling of freshness in me. The rich artistic legacy and the landscapes is sure to leave you wanting for more and settle down there.
