A few years ago, I was not a Christian. Up until that point in my life, I couldn’t see the purpose of being part of any faith. Maybe it has to do with my family and their lack of any kind of belief system. Some people might say that I was just lost, looking for a purpose in life.
That all changed when I was introduced to a certain church of which my friend was a member. This person was my neighbor for a few years but I didn’t really know anything about their Christian faith. I saw them leave to go somewhere every Sunday, but it didn’t occur to me that they were going to church.
One day I was feeling curious, so I strolled on over to my neighbors house to ask them some questions about where they went on Sundays and what they believed. All my questions were answered better than I could have hoped for. I found out many things about Christianity that made a big impact on my mind. Just a few months after that, I decided that I wanted to be of the same Christian faith as my neighbors.
Just a short time later, I made the decision to join the Christian faith. Up to this point in my life, it has been the best decision I have made. I can’t describe the great things I have learned since my conversion date. All of it has made me a better person and changed the way I see things.
With this life change of mine, I have lately had the urge to help others, especially my family, to learn the things I have learned. I want my home to be full of things that are characteristic of a Christian disciple. The problem was that I didn’t know where to go to find things like that because they don’t sell Christian resources at just any store.
Much to my relief, there are a whole bunch of small retailers that sell only Christian themed products for people like me. There are supplies for children and adults. Among other things, there is Jesus artwork, church bulletins, and stationary. In fact, I went to my local Christian store recently and I couldn’t believe all the things that they had there.
If you can’t get to a physical location, don’t fear. The internet provides access to all the best Christian stores whether they are near you or not. If I can’t find what I need for some reason, I know I will be able to find it on the website. And when you go online, you might find something that the physical location never would have carried.
Life has changed for me ever since I became a Christian. I just have a different take on life. Now my home is filled with the sort of things that bring my family together under one set of values. I always thank my neighbors for introducing me to such an important thing. I don’t know if I will ever be able to pay them back.
